The game of squash is a delightful combination of ballet and street fight. The action is intense and in close quarters, requiring strength, agility, quick reactions, grace, endurance, and balance. Colliding with your opponent, or worse—a wall—is an almost unavoidable part of the game.
In recreational squash with no referee, a player hindered by her opponent in completing a shot may call “let!” If the allegedly obstructing player feels he could have played the shot, he can award him the point—a let point—a gesture of sportsmanship which illustrates the values of selflessness, generosity, honesty, and humility. These are the values of Let Point Partners.
Jim and Jay became friends at Williams College, forging a friendship over hundreds of hours on the squash court and thousands of “let” calls. In observing how each other handled the decision to award a let point, a deep level of trust and respect was formed.
The Let Point Partners team brings these values and a strong sense of ethics to their interactions with investors, limited partners, entrepreneurs, and other participants in the global technology ecosystem.
